Xiaomi’s affordable smartphone Redmi Note 9 has been launched in India. The new model is the third in the Redmi Note 9 series after the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. The comes with quad rear camera setup and has a perforated display design.
This smartphone has reverse charging support and it includes a 25 per cent larger battery. Up to 6GB of RAM is also available in the Redmi Note 9. In addition, the phone is designed to take on the Samsung Galaxy A21, Oppo A9 2020 and Vivo S1 Pro.

The price of the lowest model of the phone in India starts at Rs. 11,999 for 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant.
The phone also has a 4GB RAM + 128GB storage option priced at Rs. 13,499.
While the top-of-the-line 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at Rs. 14,999.
It comes in three different colour options, namely Aqua Green, Arctic White, and Pebble Gray. The Redmi Note 9 sale will be from 12 noon IST (noon) on Friday, July 24 viaMi Home stores, Amazon and Mi.com.
To recall, the phone was unveiled at a global event in late April. The phone comes with 3 GB RAM + 64 GB and 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage options in international markets.

The dual-sim (Nano) phone runs on Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top and has a 6.53-inch full-HD + (1,080×2,340 pixels) dot screen with an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9 and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, the phone has an eight-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, along with LPDDR 4X RAM up to 6GB.
The phone has quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel. The camera setup includes an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with f / 2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel sensor with f / 2.4 macro lens, and a 2-megapixel deep sensor with f / 2.4 lens. For the selfie, you will get a 13-megapixel camera sensor on the front.
Xiaomi has provided 128 GB eMMC 5.1 storage which can also be expanded up to 512 GB through a dedicated slot. The sensor includes an accelerometer, ambient light, infrared (IR) blaster, and a proximity sensor. Also, there is a fingerprint sensor on the back of the smartphone.
The phone comes with 1216 linear speaker. It also has P2i hydrophobic nano-coating. Additionally, the phone includes a 5,020 mAh battery that supports 22.5 W fast charge (a compatible charger is available in the box). The battery also supports 9W reverse charge. In addition, the phone measures 162.3×77.2×8.9 mm.
