Last July, Lenovo launched its first gaming smartphone, the Legion Phone Duel, with a 144Hz display, Snapdragon 865+ chipset, 90W fast charging, a side-mount pop-up camera, and more. The Chinese tech giant has now officially announced its successor Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2.

Design and performance
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 has a 6.92-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels. The display offers a 144Hz refresh rate, 800 NIT brightness, and HDR 10+ support. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC powers the device under the hood. This device comes in a 12GB / 16GB / 18GB RAM option with 256GB / 512GB UFS 2.1 storage.
The phone runs Android 11 out of the box with the ZUI 12.5 UI. The device is built with three glass panels. It has a twin-turbo cooling system at the rear, which allows the device to bring in cold air and expel hot air. Along with twin turbo cooling, Lenovo has also added a vapor chamber for passive cooling. The device also has an RGB logo on the back.
Legion Phone Duel 2 Thermal
The Legion Phone Duel 2 is said to provide 30 percent higher thermal efficiency than its predecessor. In addition, Lenovo states that the exhaust air temperature may be 22 ° C higher than the intake.
Camera
In terms of camera, the phone has a dual camera setup, with a 64MP main camera and a 16MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone has a 44-megapixel pop-up selfie camera.
Software
The Legion Phone Duel 2 runs on Android 11-based Legion UI. It includes a control center to activate gaming features such as rampage mode, activate streaming mode, adjust cooling mode, and more. You can also use the shadow recorder that allows you to capture screen recordings of the last 15 seconds of gameplay. Users can optionally use the Legion Game Dock to connect to the display via HDMI.
Other Features
The device provides two dual USB Type-C ports, one located on the side of the phone and one on the bottom. The Legion Phone Duality 2 offers 5G connectivity and Wi-Fi 6 compatibility. The smartphone draws power from a 5500 mAh battery that is divided into two cells. The company even promises that the device can go from 0 to 82 percent in 17 minutes, which is equivalent to a 120W load. In terms of dimensions, the phone measures around 176mm x 78.5mm x 9.9mm and weighs 259 grams.
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2: Price and Availability
The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 comes in Titanium White and Ultimate Black color options. The device will be on sale in China from April 9. Lenovo Legion Phone Dual 2 will launch in Europe and later in May. The 16GB RAM model with 512GB of internal storage will be available for EUR 999, which translates to Rs 88,559. The 12GB RAM base variant with 256GB of storage will sell for around EUR 799 (Rs 70,829).
