Honor today launched two new low-budget, Rs 10K smartphones for the Indian market. The new phones are Honor 9S and Honor 9A. Now let’s have a closer look at the prices, features and specifications of Honor 9S and Honor 9A.

Honor 9S, Honor 9A Price and Sale
Honor 9A comes in a single 3GB + 64GB variant in India and is priced at Rs 9,999. The phone will come in two color variants: Phantom Blue and Midnight Black.
The phone will be sold from August 6, 2020, through Amazon from 11 am. Customers who buy the device on the first sale can avail a discount of Rs 1,000 and have a chance to buy Honor 9A for Rs 8,999. There is an additional 10 per cent discount and free EMI of up to 6 months for HDFC credit and debit card users.
The Honor 9S, the phone comes in a single version with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. This phone will be sold on Flipkart starting August 6 from 12 noon. There is also a discount of Rs 400 for the first sale and customers can buy the phone for just 5,999. There is also free EMI option in future.
Honor has also announced a call and win the competition for consumers buying Honor 9A and 9S. To participate in this competition, everyone has to call Honor India’s customer service on 18002109999. The winners will be chosen each week and have a chance to win the Honor Band. All the callers will also get the benefit of Honor VIP service and free subscription of Hungama Music App for three months.
Honor 9A Specifications
Honor 9A is the most premium and most expensive of the two new phones released today. The phone is powered by an entry-level MediaTek MT6762R SoC with quad Cortex A53 cores fixed in two groups. The phone runs Android 10 under Magic UI 3.1. Google Play services are not supported due to the ongoing trade war between the United States and China. The phone ships with Honor’s own app gallery for app download.
The screen used in Honor 9A is an LCD panel that is 6.3 inches wide and supports HD + resolution. The panel is also TUV Rheinland certified for eye protection operations. The phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for fast and secure unlocking.
Honor 9A’s camera setup includes a 13MP f / 1.8 primary camera, 5MP ultra-wide-angle secondary camera and 2MP depth sensor. The front camera has an 8-megapixel resolution and can capture decent selfies.
The power of this hardware is 5,000 mAh which can run more than a day easily with normal usage. The phone also supports reverse charging function, meaning it can be used to charge other phones and accessories.

Honor 9S Specifications
The Honor 9S is a compact phone with a 5.45-inch HD + display. It is powered by the same SoC that we saw on the Honor 9A, MediaTek MT6762R. However, the RAM at the bottom is just 2GB. The phone also has a microSD card slot for 32 GB of internal storage and memory expansion. T
he small size of the phone also has a capacity of 3020 mAh as a result of a small battery. Like Honor 9A, this phone also runs Magic UI 3.1 on Android 10.1. While the phone lacks a fingerprint scanner, it supports the Face Unlock feature. The Honor 9S camera setup includes an 8MP F / 2.0 rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera at the front. The phone also supports dual SIM.
Both phones will go on sale through Amazon and Flipkart from August 6, 2020, as previously mentioned.
